Honey Dew Donuts® to contribute $100K for breast cancer research

February 22, 2007

Honey Dew Donuts® will donate $100,000 to The National Breast Cancer Research Foundation, the company announced Thursday.

Honey Dew Donuts® Founder and President Richard J. Bowen will present the check to Kevin Hall, chief operation officer of the National Breast Cancer Research Foundation, on March 8 at the Honey Dew Donuts® store at 375 Neponset St. in Canton, Mass.

The Plainville, Mass., company will commemorate the donation by offering free coffee to women at that location and other select Honey Dew Donuts® stores on March 8.

"Many of us know someone who has been affected by breast cancer," said Bowen, in a statement. "Honey Dew is pleased to support the efforts of The National Breast Cancer Foundation, which can have tremendous positive effects for women in communities throughout New England."

Honey Dew Donuts®, founded in 1973, operates more that 150+ Honey Dew Donut shops.
