Program will bring children in need to 2011 Spinners games
The Lowell Spinners have partnered with Honey Dew Donuts to provide local children in need an opportunity to come to a Spinners home game free of charge in the Honey Dew Donuts Dugout for Kids.
With school out for summer, it is vital to find safe activities for children to do and what is better than a night at the ballpark?!
"Honey Dew is proud to sponsor the Lowell Spinners Dugout for Kids Program. Every child should be given the opportunity to enjoy America's favorite pastime and attend a baseball game," said Richard Bowen, President and CEO of Honey Dew Associates, Inc. "We are truly delighted that we can be a part of this wonderful program which benefits deserving children within our local communities."
Each group of children will receive a special welcome on the video board during the game, as well as front of the line access for running the bases after the game.
"This partnership with Honey Dew Donuts exemplifies Minor League Baseball's commitment to its local communities," said Spinners President and General Manager Tim Bawmann. "Without Honey Dew Donuts, support hundreds of Merrimack Valley children wouldn't be given the opportunity to enjoy the excitement of Lowell Spinners Baseball from the very field Jonathan Papelbon, Kevin Youkilis, Jacoby Ellsbury, Clay Buchholz and Jed Lowrie began their Red Sox careers."
Kids will be picked in several ways for the opportunity to sit in the Honey Dew Donuts Dugout for Kids. Interested parties can submit a letter to the Lowell Spinners, by one of the mediums below, as to why they should be selected.
Nominations are encouraged, as we want to ensure no one is excluded from this opportunity to enjoy a Spinners Game.
